Πριν μερικές μέρες συζητούσα με τον 32μπιτο για τα συστήματα αρχείων των δίσκων (NTFS, Ext2/3 κλπ).
Είπα να το ψάξω λίγο το θέμα και βρήκα έναν driver που επιτρέπει στα Windows να διαβάζει και να γράφει σε σύστημα αρχείων του Linux: Ext2/3!
Το εγκατέστησα, δημιούργησα ένα ext2 partition και είδα ότι όντως το λειτουργικό το αναγνωρίζει (μερικώς). Δεν το δοκίμασα εκτενώς, αλλά σίγουρα δε μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί όπως στο Linux.

Το Σχολίνουξ (ή sxolinux) είναι ένα ελεύθερο και δωρεάν λειτουργικό σύστημα Λίνουξ για μαθητές. Αποτελείται ως επί το πλείστον από ελεύθερο λογισμικό και βασίζεται στο Ubuntu Linux το οποίο τροποποιούμε (με μια διαδικασία που λέγεται remastering) με έξτρα πακέτα λογισμικού, για τις ανάγκες των μαθητών, αλλά και διαφορετικό γραφικό θέμα, εικονίδια και φυσικά λογότυπα, που να ταιριάζουν στο «κοινό» της διανομής.

Εδώ και αρκετό καιρό, σχεδόν απο την πρώτη μέρα που κυκλοφόρησε, χρησιμοποιώ το Ubuntu 8.10. Μόλις βγήκε το καρμικό κοάλα με «έτρωγε» να το εγκαταστήσω. Κάψιμο του ISO κλασσικά σε CD και ξεκινάμε.
Η επίσημη 9.10 είναι πλέον πραγματικότητα. Την κατέβασα αλλά δεν κατάφερα με τίποτα να την εγκαταστήσω. Απο οτι διάβασα δεν είμαι ο μόνος. Ούτε καν Live CD. Ένα ατέρμονο loop από stdin Error 0. Θα δείξει.
